The federal government is providing one-time funds to help school districts accelerate student learning as well as recuperate needs like extra expenses faced during the pandemic. The funds are called Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds. These are one-time federal funds that will be provided to K12 districts across the nation. There are guidelines on allowable uses and the funding is not accessible beyond September of 2024.
