The Indiana Student Performance Readiness and Observation of Understanding Tool (ISPROUT) is utilized to measure skill development in children receiving Individualized Education Program (IEP) services from infancy to kindergarten to meet the reporting requirements of OSEP. The ISPROUT is in alignment with the Indiana Early Learning Foundations which include the development of foundations such as:
• English/Language Arts
• Mathematics
• Physical Development
• Science
• Social Studies
These concepts are reported in three categories: social/emotional, knowledge and skills, and independence/motor coordination, which are also used for federal reporting to the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP).
